Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Peer Support Specialist works directly with program participants, community-based providers, and government agencies to assist participants in orientation to services and successfully navigating their community reintegration processes. Through strength-based participant engagement, the Peer Support Specialist is responsible for helping participants address obstacles, barriers, avoid re-incarceration, substance abuse, and relapse, and other detrimental life stressors. This position works face-to-face with program participants to provide a lived experience that may be invaluable to current participants. The Peer Support Specialist provides individualized and group services to assist in the removal of barriers and risks and managing needs.
Substance Abuse Counselor - San Rafael, CA
Center Point is seeking certified and experienced substance abuse counselors to conduct screening and assessments; provide individual and group counseling; develop treatment plans; create and maintain client charts in compliance with regulatory agencies and funder; facilitate relapse prevention and continuing care services; and provide follow-up and aftercare counseling and case management in residential and outpatient settings. Counselors must be registered or certified by a State of California-accredited institution. They are currently looking at residential and outpatient programs for both men’s and women’s settings. The schedule could require weekends/evenings, so it must be flexible. There are openings for evening and nighttime shifts.

Center Point is seeking AOD-certified and experienced substance use disorder counselors to join our Residential Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program in Fair Oaks, CA. Counselors will be responsible for conducting screenings and assessments, providing individual and group counseling, developing and implementing treatment plans, and maintaining client records in compliance with regulatory agencies and funder requirements. Additional responsibilities include facilitating relapse prevention and continuing care services, offering follow-up and aftercare counseling, and providing case management in both residential and outpatient settings. Candidates must be registered or certified by a State of California Accredited Institution. The position requires flexibility, as schedules may include weekends and evenings, with openings available for day, evening, and night shifts.

Case Worker - San Rafael, CA
Under the direction of the DRC Casework Supervisor, the DRC Caseworker is responsible for the daily provision of direct services and case management activities to DRC probationers. The DRC Caseworker is responsible for participant casework, including the development of Case Management Plans {CMP), group and individual counseling, information and referral activities, and documentation of services activities. Utilizing Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, the DRC Caseworker ensures that caseload participants receive the social, educational, and vocational tools and skills required to remain drug and arrest-free by adapting pro-social behaviors. The DRC Caseworker is responsible for monitoring probationers’ progress through all phases of their participation.

The Job Developer supports clients in preparing for and securing employment by assessing their vocational skills, facilitating job readiness workshops, and providing one-on-one guidance. This role helps clients build resumes, practice interview techniques, and navigate job searches while addressing barriers to employment. The Job Developer also cultivates relationships with local employers, maintains a job listings database, and matches client skills with suitable opportunities. Through a combination of counseling, coordination, and advocacy, the Job Developer plays a key role in each client’s recovery and successful reentry into the workforce.
