Women and Children's Program
Center Point, Inc. (CPI) offers an innovative, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed Women and Children’s Program that provides a comprehensive array of services. This program is designed for women with children who are facing homelessness, unemployment, trauma, abuse, domestic violence, criminal behavior, mental health issues, and substance use disorders.
CPI’s Women and Children’s Program currently serves over 120 mothers, infants, and children each year. Key features of the program include:
- It is available for pregnant women and women with children up to 6 years old in California.
- Families reside in family-style units for a duration of 3 to 6 months.
- After this initial period, families can move into specialized transitional housing for up to 24 months.
Women who graduate from the program achieve remarkable success, including:
- 70% of the women remain employed and are reunited with their families after completing the program.
- Over 90% stay abstinent and free from child welfare involvement.
- More than half regain custody of their minor children.
- More than 85% secure stable employment and housing.
In September 2002, CPI expanded its women and children’s treatment services to include gender-responsive outpatient services in Marin, creating a more comprehensive continuum of care.
