Marin Day Services Center
Providing Support, Structure, and Opportunity for Positive Change

Launched on June 1st through a contract with the Marin County Sheriff’s Department, the Marin Day Services Center (DSC) supports justice-involved individuals in overcoming addiction, developing life skills, and reducing recidivism. Importantly, it offers a safe and stable environment to begin healing, build accountability, and rediscover purpose.
Our Approach
At Center Point’s Day Services Center, we focus on prosocial character development, self-efficacy, and interrupting the cycles of addiction and criminal behavior. Recognizing that many clients have experienced significant trauma, systemic barriers, and entrenched patterns of thinking, we ensure our services provide a comprehensive, person-centered pathway to long-term change.
Inside the Program
DSC provides evidence-based services designed to support long-term change:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Relapse Prevention
- Anger Management
- Motivational Interviewing
Through these methods, sessions help clients:
- Identify and challenge distorted or harmful thinking
- Learn strategies to manage triggers and emotions
- Develop a prosocial identity built on accountability
- Create structured personal prevention and recovery plans
Although DSC does not provide clinical treatment directly, it plays a key referral role, connecting individuals to outpatient, intensive outpatient, residential, and mental health services.
Who We Serve
Eligibility is determined through referrals from justice partners such as:
- Marin County Sheriff’s Department
- Public Defender’s Office
- And expanding partners including District Attorneys, CPS, and local courts
Building Bridges & Facing Barriers
In the early stages, the program has focused on building relationships with key partners and raising awareness within the Marin County community. Challenges like unexpected early releases or changes in custody status are being addressed through closer coordination and structured intake processes, including scheduled pickups.
Staff & Training
All DSC staff are trained to provide a unified, trauma-informed, and client-centered experience. Specifically, training includes:
- Addressing criminal thinking using structured curriculum and corrective feedback
- Leading empathy-based discussions on anger, violence, and addiction
- Supporting clients in building individualized coping strategies
- Collaborating with justice agencies and documenting progress through service plans
A Mission in Motion
More than a program, the Marin Day Services Center represents a commitment to transformation — for clients, for staff, and for the broader community.
“My mission is to make our communities better,” The Program Manager shares. “We’re building something meaningful — not just for today, but for the future.”
If you are a provider or community partner working with individuals who may benefit from our services, we are actively accepting referrals.
